What is CSC & How to Provide Services by Becoming a VLE?

What is CSC?

The full form of CSC is Common Services Centre which is an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India. The Government approves the CSC scheme in May 2006 which delivers various services to citizens at CSC centre. In 2015. CSC 2.0 announced which is an extension of the original CSC Scheme. The Project aims to establish a self-sustaining network of 2.5 lakh CSC centres at Gram Panchayat under Digital India Programme to deliver various citizen-centric services.

Do I need any training to Provide Services?

No., you don’t need any specific training to provide services. However, to start providing services in your village you have first to become a VLE, You can read CSC Registration Guide from here. The submitted VLE application form undergoes a Quality Check process. Once accepted, your VLE account is created, and the credentials/ID are sent through DigiMail.

How to Provide Services by Becoming a VLE?

VLE can deliver services from the Centre (A place from where the VLE would serve the citizens)

There is a facility for VLE provide e-services known as CSC Connect.

Connect to the digital seva portal using unique ID and password which were sent to your “DigiMail” account.

The Portal has a secure pre-paid cash management system for VLEs.

The VLE is required to add a minimum amount of Rs 1,000 to their wallet.

CSC e-governance (SPV) offers many services to VLEs to make their centre financially viable.

The company continuously strives to add new services to their portfolio (Digital Seva Connect Portal).

For any problems or queries related to the services, VLE can raise a ticket by generating the ticket.

VLE can check the newly arrived services from the digitalseva.csc.gov.in portal. Also, they will receive mail on “DigiMail” along with the guide or manual.
